Hope Charity Site Design

In this project, I designed an entire site for a fictional charity company named Hope in India. This website was built from scratch using Dreamweaver and features 5 main pages along with several small project pages. What you can see here is the full homepage which includes many functional web objects such as a video, a map, and a table for event listings. The logo design is also of my own creation and tailor made for this site. For this project, I wanted a soothing style and aesthetic, which is why I chose the plant print background and warm colors. The blue behind the text boxes gives a splash of soothing cool color so that the warms aren’t overpowering. The fact that these text boxes are transparent gives a calming feel of water on the page as well. With both the plant and water imagery I believe I achieved an interesting and calming page design which also excels at getting its message across. The message of course being that the site wants you to donate money to the poor. This message is the core of both the text, links, and images that the visuals frame. This site was never made live since it was for a fictional group though so please contact me if you’d like to see other pages.
